Grant, as she was known to many, was born and raised to adulthood in the Caribbean multi-island state of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. She is survived by her daughters, Jeannine and Rosa, two grandchildren, Mikael Alex and Dawn, one great-grandson, Joshua, her siblings, Carver James (Calgary), Cameron James (SVG), Renee Williams (UK), Ashton Moses (SVG), Erica Charles(Trinidad), Vilna Lewis (SVG), Bert Charles (Trinidad) and Beverley Hendrickson (USA).
She valued highly her contemporaries, her friends, her ever-expanding network of acquaintances and her extended family of several nephews, nieces, cousins and their families. In them all, she took a loving and lively interest almost to the end of her time.
Grant’s family is grateful to the care team at the St. Andrew’s Residential Centre which supported her on several levels during her final years.
We are thankful for her life and work. We will miss and remember her.
The family will receive condolences on February 28, 2026 from 12:00 noon at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Homes located at 5610 Sherbrooke St W, Montreal, Quebec H4A 1W5. At 1:00 pm, an Anglican funeral service will begin.
