Allan Kennedy

Allan Joseph Kennedy, born July 12, 1944, in Montreal, Quebec, passed away peacefully on the morning of October 13, 2025, at the Montreal General Hospital at the age of 81, surrounded by his beloved family.

A lifelong resident of Montreal, Allan dedicated 28 years of his career to Simpsons Department Store, where he was a well-known and highly respected manager, leaving a lasting impression on his colleagues. Outside of his professional life, Allan was known for his witty sense of humor and his deep faith. He was a lifelong, devoted follower of the Catholic Church, a commitment that began when he served as an alter boy. A passionate sports fan, he rarely missed a game of his dear Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Blue Jays. Allan loved spending time with family and friends and especially enjoyed taking road trips in his new car.

Allan was predeceased by his cherished wife, Patricia Topham; his father, John Charles Kennedy; his mother, Muriel Agnes Berry; and his two sisters, Verna (Rene Bardou) and Shirley (Andrew Hearn).

Although Allan had no children of his own, he leaves behind a large and loving family who will deeply miss him. He is survived by his cousin Patrick Hayes (Donna); his many nieces and nephews, including: Rene Jr., Diane (Woody), and Carol (Peter) (Bardou); Sheila (Mark), Bill (Kathy), Brian (Karen), and Brenda (Trevor) (Hearn); and Chantale (Marc), Andrea (Marc) and Lisa (Josh) (the children of Jennifer Topham); along with their extended families, friends, and former colleagues.

The family wishes to acknowledge the nursing staff and physicians at the Montreal General Hospital for the excellent, compassionate care provided to Allan in his final days.

Un cortège spécial est prévu à la Résidences funéraires Collins Clarke MacGillivray White le 22 octobre 2025 de 19h00 à 21h00.

La cérémonie religieuse se tiendra le 23 octobre 2025 de 11h00 à 12h00 à la même adresse.

Le service de dépôt des restes aura lieu au Cimetière Notre-Dame-des-Neiges, situé au 4601 Chem. de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, QC, H3V 1E7, Canada, le 23 octobre 2025 de 13h15 à 13h30.
