Born on September 25th, 1936, in Sicily, Italy, loving daughter of Giuseppe Alongi and Assunta Lopresti, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026, at the CHSLD Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci in Montreal. Beloved wife of the late Francesco Palumbo and treasured mother of Anthony, Joseph, Roberto (Caroline), and the late Daniele, respectively. Adoring Nonna of Stephanie, Melissa (William), Gabriella, Steven, Sabrina and Alessandra. Anna will be missed by all of her friends and family, and without exception, the caring staff of CHSLD Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci.
Visitation will be held at Centre Funeraire Cote-des-Neiges on 4525 chemin de la Cote-des-Neiges, Montreal, Quebec on Thursday, February 12th, 2026 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Mass will be held on Friday, February 13th, 2026 at the chapel of Centre Funeraire Cote-des-Neiges at 10:00 AM followed by the final burial at 11:15AM at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.
