It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Augusto Albanesi who passed away peacefully on July 28, 2020, at the age of 78. Augusto will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 44 years Nicolina Alfonsi; his children Stefania (Cosmo) and Marco (Felicia); cherished grandchildren Nico, Giuliana and Adriano; his brother Fernando (Maria) (Italy); and his many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences at: Centre Funeraire Cote-des-Neiges, 4525, chemin de la Cote-des-Neiges, Montreal, Quebec, H3V 1E7, on Monday, August 3, 2020, from 4pm to 9pm. Tuesday, August 4, 2020, starting at 9am, followed by a funeral service at Saint-Raymond-de-Pennafort, 5765, St-Jacques St. West Montreal, Quebec, H4A 2E8, at 10am.
The family would like thank the wonderful staff of the Royal Victoria Hospital, Dr. How, the team of the Hematology Clinic, the team at the Medical Day Clinic, and especially nurse Lucia Francescangeli for her invaluable care and support.

I want to thank Augusto for his life and always making me an mg family smile from the other side of the street and I’m going to miss his incredible bike rides , his speaking to me in broken English and Italian and his and I love/hate relationship for the Montreal Canadiens. The jokes , the fun and the amazing person he was to us will be missed.
I thank him and his spirit for bringing my wife Tammy, my 3 kids and all of your family & extended family together as neighbours and adopted family as you both adopted us over the years.
We love you guys and will do anything for you guys, please never hesitate to call us if you need us , to walk over if you need anything and even if it’s just to talk about any and everything , Tammy and Myself are here Cosmo, Stefania , Nico , Marco and all the rest of the extended family 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿❤️❤️❤️🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
