Basilio Gonzalez, November 7, 2014. Age 82, of Montreal. Born in La Horra, Burgos, Spain. His wife of 43 years, Geertje Gonzalez, passed away in 2011. Beloved father of Pablo and Carina. Beloved brother of Felix, Ubaldo and Jose Luis (of Spain). Retired electrical engineer for the United Nations, former teacher in Spain and university professor in Venezuela. His skills and endless curiosity took him around the world to repair war-torn nations. His love for his profession sent him into his late 70s trudging through the jungles of Africa and climbing ladders to inspect equipment in China. His selflessness found him in many friends' gardens and homes, planting and solving problems.
His funeral will take place Saturday, November 15, 2014, 2 pm immediately followed by a reception at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 5610 Sherbrooke St. West, Montreal, Quebec.
