Born in Kaiping, Canton, China, Ben Chung Michael was the youngest of 11 children. He was the beloved husband of Ruby, and adoring father of Mai-Gee (Adam) and Maggie (Martin). He was the proud and doting grandfather of Harrison. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law in Montreal along with nieces and nephews across Canada and the U.S.
A food and travel enthusiast, Ben Chung Michael enjoyed exploring new countries and cuisines. His career in the restaurant industry brought joy and delight to many. Ben Chung Michael courageously fought Pulmonary Fibrosis, and we are grateful for the care and support from the palliative care unit at Fondation Gracia and Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal.
Visitations will be held at Centre Funéraire Côte-des-Neiges, 4525, Chemin Côte-des-Neiges, Montreal, Quebec, H3V 1E7, on Saturday September 20, from 9am to 1pm, followed by a private burial for family members at 2pm.
