Danielle Lafleur

C'est avec une grande tristesse que la famille annonce le décès paisible de Danielle Dufour (Lafleur) le jeudi 28 mars 2024, à l'âge de 78 ans, prédécédée par son époux Richard Dufour. Elle manquera beaucoup à sa fille Caroline Dufour (Patrick) et à son fils Pierre Dufour (Jennifer), ainsi qu'à ses petits-enfants bien-aimés Layloo, Benjamin et Samantha.

Danielle est née à Montréal, au Québec, le 17 octobre 1945 ; ses parents étaient Lionel Lafleur et Annette Lafleur (Vanier). Danielle a occupé des postes administratifs, dont une longue carrière à Selection Readers/ Readers Digest.

Danielle était une jardinière ,une pianiste passionnée, et une artiste à l'éclosion tardive, elle ne manquait pas l'occasion de se rendre à des expositions avec les artistes de sa famille, Caroline et Layloo. Elle aimait les arts, en particulier la musique. Danielle aimait voyager avec ses amis et sa famille et trouvait une paix intérieure en campant, notamment à Rollins Pond, ainsi qu'en prenant la route avec son mari, remorque à la main. Elle était une excellente cuisinière et la famille aimait partager un repas le samedi ou le dimanche dans sa cuisine chaleureuse. Elle avait une joie de vivre contagieuse, aimait tous les animaux, était une amie fidèle et une mère remarquable pour tout le monde.

C'était une femme dévouée et attentionnée, qui a profondément touché nos vies et qui nous manquera beaucoup, sans jamais être oubliée.

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Danielle Dufour (Lafleur) on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the age of 78, predeceased by her husband Richard Dufour. She will be dearly missed by her daughter Caroline Dufour (Patrick) and her son Pierre Dufour (Jennifer), and beloved grandchildren Layloo, Benjamin, and Samantha.

Danielle was born in Montreal, Quebec on October 17, 1945; parents, Lionel Lafleur and Annette Lafleur (Vanier). Danielle worked in administrative positions including a long-lasting career at Selection Readers/ Readers Digest.

Danielle was an avid gardener and pianist, and late-blooming artist, she would not miss the opportunity to go to exhibits with her family’s artists, Caroline and Layloo. She enjoyed the arts, especially music. Danielle enjoyed travelling with friends and family and found an inner peace while camping, especially at Rollins Pond as well as when taking road trips with her husband – trailer in tow. She was a wonderful cook, and the family loved sharing a Saturday or Sunday meal in her cozy kitchen. She had an infectious zest for life, lover of all animals, loyal friend, and a remarkable mom to everyone.

She was a devoted and caring woman, who touched our lives deeply and will be greatly missed, never to be forgotten.
