It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Donato Bertoldi after a brave battle with his illness. Much loved by his two sons, Domenico (Roula), Marco (Antonietta) and daughter Natalina (Yves); as well as his five grandchildren Marco, Pamela, Dahlia, Carina and Peter.
Through out his years, he was always cared for by his loving siblings, Belardina (Angelo), Lorenzo (Micheline), Romana (Angelo), Domenica (Tomasso), Alfredo (Liliana), Settimio (Ines) and Gabriele.
He arrived here from Italy as a young teen and built a life for himself. He enjoyed spending time in his garden and playing the accordion. He was sometimes the life of many of the family parties.
Visitation will take place at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 6pm to 10pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Saint-Raymond Parish, 5765 rue Saint-Jacques, Montreal, at 12pm followed by Notre-Dame-des-Neiges cemetery.
We would like to thank the loving staff of the second floor located at Maimonides Geriatric Center in Côte St. Luc. They all went above and beyond, a wonderful caring staff who spoke to him in Italian everyday. They made him feel at home.
A thank you also to Gigi who kept an extra eye out for our dad.
