the Place Kensington Residence in
Westmount (Montreal, QC) on October 20,
2016. She was predeceased by her husband,
David Drummond. Edith is survived by her
nephew Don Wighton (Gisela) and her niece
Judy Buchanan (Ian). After heading the
Lower Canada College Library for many
years, she retired and continued working as a
volunteer at Westmount Public Library and
setting up new libraries at Mountainside
United Church and at Place Kensington
Residence. She enjoyed international travel
and outdoor sports, was a member of the
Atwater Club, as well as the Royal Montreal
Curling Club. She will be sadly missed by her
family and friends. The memorial service will
be held on November 24, in the chapel of the
Mountainside United Church in Westmount.
The entrance to the chapel is on Landsdowne
Avenue /cr. The Boulevard. The service is at
11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the
Montreal Children’s Library at 4121- 42nd rue,
Montreal, QC H1Z 1R8 would be appreciated.
