It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Eugenio Rasio, MD and PhD, on Saturday, December 12, 2020.
He leaves in mourning his loving wife Irene Strychar-Rasio of 16 years; his son Frederic Rasio (predeceased mother Danielle Journé) and daughter-in-law Vicky Kalogera along with his grandchildren Jonathan, Rebecca, Stefan and Aliki; his stepson Derek Bateman (predeceased mother Barbara Lowenthal-Bateman) with his grandchildren Jacob, Joshua and Adam.
He was predeceased by his brother Enrico Rasio, a former professor at the University of Rome, Italy. He was also predeceased by his parents Pierina Sarti and Luigi Rasio of Cervia, Italy. A private burial was held on Monday, December 21.
Raised by the Jesuits, he proposes that donations be made to any charity serving the poor.
