Geneviève left us on August 6, 2018, at the age of 36 to join her mother Hélène Dessaulles (36) and her brother Mathieu Dessaulles-Ethier (30), all three of whom died of a genetic disease that affected their neurological system.
Her resilience to the disease is an example for all of us and despite the state of her health, she continued to fill us with happiness and joy until the last moment.
She leaves in great sorrow, her father Louis-Philippe Ethier (Chantal), her godmother Marie Dessaulles (Gaetan), her aunts Monique Dessaulles (Sylvain) and Suzanne Ethier, her uncles Pierre Ethier, Bernard Dessaulles (Diane), François Dessaulles (Sylvie ), Michel Dessaulles, Guy Ethier (Michaela) and Louis Dessaulles as well as cousins and friends.
Thank you to the doctors and staff of the 3rd floor south of the Neurological Institute who contributed to Genevieve's care and comfort during the last weeks.
Since the disease has never been diagnosed, other research are still ongoing. Therefore, in lieu of flower, the family asks you to send donations to the Montreal Neurological Institute foundation (www.neuro.com) in memory of Genevieve Dessaulles-Ethier. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home so that you can deposit your donations.
