The beloved husband of Arlin Aragon for 45 years, he now joins her in eternal peace. He leaves behind his children, Cecille and Gilbert (Marivic), and his grandchildren, Christopher, Luke, Alexander, Matteo and Aria.
He is survived by his sister, Lea (Tito), and joins his brothers Eli, Pio (Josie) and Noe (Abilene).
Gil was a loving, loyal and supportive husband, father and grandfather. Born in Iloilo to Resureccion Soberano and Julita Hismaña, he graduated from the University of San Agustin in 1969 before emigrating from the Philippines. He and Arlin settled in Montreal where he began his career as a medical technologist at Santa Cabrini Hospital. While Gil eventually took early retirement to focus on his health, he was also able to fully enjoy his photography hobby. One of his favourite activities was to photograph his family, especially his grandchildren.
Gil leaves behind family and friends in Canada and abroad who will miss him immensely.
