Giovanna Esposito Cassin

Predeceased by her beloved husband Raymond Cassin of 37 years, she leaves to mourn her mother, Rina Esposito, and predeceased father Eugenio Esposito. Loving mother of Steven (Bianca) and Gino (Mary), her sisters Angela (Bill) and Enza (Gino), and brother Raffaele (Stacey) nephews and niece and cherished grandmother of Giuliana, Giacomo, Nicholas, Amelia and Galia.

Giovanna owned and operated Supermarché Clifton (Marché Ami) on Upper Lachine Road for over 30 years. She was quite unique as she was one of the very few female entrepreneurs in a demanding position as owner-manager. She took pride in her store and embraced her customers. She was an integral member of the community for which she proudly served.

The Cassin and Esposito families would like to thank all family, friends, customers and suppliers for their outpouring support. She will be deeply missed by so many.

She will be forever in our hearts, thoughts and prayers.

The family will receive condolences on January 30th and 31st. A funeral mass will be held on January 31st at Saint Raymond’s Parish from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., followed by an entombment at the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery. Following the funeral service at Saint Raymond’s Parish, there will be an opportunity to pay final respects outside the parish.
