

Gloria was born youngest to Elpedio Lamando+ and Manuela Genabe+, September 14, 1943 in Paclasan, Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines. She graduated from Fabella College in 1964 and completed Food Trade at V.Mapa Vocational School Manila in 1984. She received her Safety and First Aid certificate at St. John's Ambulance Montreal in 1991. She married Jorge Armando "Baby" Noche on January 31, 1966, and they lived together in Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines. Together they raised three children.
She leaves as her legacy three children: Emerita Miflor "Mimi" (Redentor Adonis Tamayo), Bonifacio Glomando "Tacks", and Carla Teresa Amor "Cleng". To cherish her memory, three grandchildren: Leona Patricia "Peach", Queeny Marie, and Kate Lynn Dawn Guinto. Precious pets: Autumn and Mika. Beloved elder siblings in Palawan: Amparo Galimba+, RIP (86 y/o), Pacita Javier (83 y/o), and Alice Lamando (80 y/o). She's fondly remembered by aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws, godchildren, relatives, and friends near and far. Her children remember her as a selfless, loving, and caring mother.
She was preceded in death by Miguel M. Noche, Sr. (Father-In-Law), Florentina Lanzona Noche (Mother-In-Law), Rebecca Godoyo Galvez (Niece), Brother-In-Laws: Santiago L. Noche, Dr. Miguel L. Noche, Jr., Isaias "Loy" L. Noche, Heimrich D. Noche (Nephew), Ret. Police Brig/Gen. Gerardo G. Tamayo together with Leonor Geronimo (Son-in-law’s parents), and children's pets Kiara, Summer and Fozzie.
For many years as a restaurant entrepreneur, she owned and managed “Mi-Amor Tropical Hut” in her hometown before she ventured abroad. In 1984, Gloria worked in Jerusalem, Israel before she emigrated to Canada in 1986. She worked at Peerless Clothing Inc. until she retired in 2009.
She was a kind hearted person, endearing, accommodating, and passionate about keeping family and friends together. She's joyful and funny. She loves to entertain, cook, dance, party, watch TV and collect things. She was truly unique and one of a kind!
She was a dedicated officer and member of various organizations in Montreal. Served many years of services as: Auditor to UPS (United Pilipino Senior Association), Auditor to FILGA, Membership Director to PHILBECAN, Auditor to Tagalog Organization (2005-2007), awardee in Filipino Community Workers Association (1994-1995), registered member of FAMAS and among others. She was an ambassador of Philippine culture and tradition and an ardent supporter of the Kalinangan Dance Troupe and has travelled with the group for the Filipinos Making Waves Festival 2010 in Yonge-Dundas Square Toronto, ON.
