

With profound sadness and broken hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our one-of-a-kind Gloria, who peacefully passed on Tuesday May 14, 2024 at the age of 87.
Gloria is survived by her sister Grace Thompson and brother Egbert Thompson. Predeceased by her parents Gurrin and Elsie Thompson. Her sister (the late Merle Thompson) and her brothers (the late Errol Thompson, Harry Thompson and Carl Thompson).
Gloria was the first of seven children in the Thompson family in Point Fortin, Trinidad. Gloria worked for several years in the Physics Department at Concordia University as the Graduate Program Assistant. She thoroughly enjoyed painting and loved collecting art, music and antiques.
Gloria was beloved by all who knew her. She was the most loving Aunty Gloria to her many nieces and nephews.
She will also be dearly missed by her steadfast and devoted friends, Edwina Bowen and Miriam Donnie Becker Frank, who over the latter part of her life, truly devoted their time, concern and love in-order to ensure she was lovingly cared for.
The family would also like to thank Annie and all her staff at Annie's Residence (retirement home) for their kindness, compassionate and supportive care during Gloria's stay.
