Heather passed away on her 69th birthday at Saint Margaret’s long-term care residence, a victim of Covid 19. She will be greatly missed by her husband and best friend of 47 years, Brian Evans, her son Edward (Jennifer), her siblings Bill (Deb), Nancy, Gord (Jan) and Barbie (Chris Hines), her sister-in-law Daphne Sherbinin, and her many nieces and nephews.
Heather will be fondly remembered by her Loyola buddies, her work colleagues and her neighbours for her thoughtfulness, her creativity and her great sense of humour.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Saint Margaret’s, the Moe Levin Unit of the Douglas Hospital, the McGill Centre for Studies in Aging, the CLSC Metro and her wonderful caregivers, Lourdes, Valcina, Anita and Jocelyne, for their exceptional care and support. And a special thanks to our long-time friend and neighbour Patricia (Trapnell) for her unwavering devotion and assistance to Heather and family.
Once the current pandemic is under control, we will be organizing a celebration of Heather’s life.
In lieu of flowers, you may wish to make a donation to the McGill University Research Centre for Studies in Aging.
