During the 1956 Revolution he escaped to Europe and found work in Belgium. In time, he emigrated to Canada, making his home in Montréal. Self-reliant and independent, he was able to start a new life in a new country.

The family will hold a private service on Monday, October 19. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the Alzheimer Society of Canada will be appreciated.
