Jen Hoan Cheng

December 8, 1930-May 11th, 2024

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jen Hoan Cheng on May 11th, 2024 at the age of 93 years old, preceded in death by her loving husband, Kwan Hea Chan.

Jen Hoan was the cherished mother to her daughters Heidi, May, Hedy and Judy Chan. She will also profoundly be missed as the doting Poh Poh (grandmother in Chinese) of her grandchildren Bernie, Jessica, Kevin, Nicholas and Tanya.

Jen Hoan lived a life deeply rooted in her faith as a devoted Catholic, finding solace and strength in Christ. She embodied the virtues of compassion and care, standing as the cornerstone of our family as its beloved matriarch. Her unwavering devotion extended beyond our family circle, earning her respect and love from the entire Chinese community she called home.

Her warm-hearted laughter, tender smile and nurturing soul will be forever engraved in our hearts and in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A visitation will be held with the family at Centre funéraire Côte-des-neiges (4525, Chemin de la Côte-des-neiges, Montreal, QC) on May 24th, from 12pm to 1:30pm. The funeral service along with personal family tributes will follow at 1:30pm and conclude with the laying to rest at 3pm.
