Passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on December 13, 2020.
After a long and happy life together, she was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, James Ian Scott. She is survived by their 6 children, 4 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Born in Montreal, raised in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of Dorson and Bessie Nixon. Joan met Ian in High School and later married and started a family. They moved to Montreal in 1959. They were faithful members of the United Church of Canada. Joan was a long-time member of the UCW, the leader of the Wesley Brownie Pack for many years, and an avid volunteer in various charities. She was a dedicated wife and mother.
There will be no visitation. A private family ceremony to be held in Saint John at a later date. Please visit Collins Clarke if you wish to send condolences.
