Julio Arlindo Freitas

Beloved husband of 66 years to Conceição Freitas (nee Neto). Loving father of José Sergio (Marianne), Luisa (Oreste), Vanda (Tony) and Zelda (John).

Cherished grandfather (Avô) of Matthew (Jessica), Daniel (Ana), Erik, Cassandra, Nicolas (Tim), Victor, Jeremy (Melissa), Julian (Samantha), Lyndsay (Josh) and Sara.

He leaves to mourn his sister Lurdes, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law and his nieces and nephews.

He was born in Madeira, Portugal and left in 1967 to make a better life for his young family in Montreal. He worked hard for over 30 years at The Mount Royal Club sacrificing many nights and weekends away from his family. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, traveling and beach holidays with his wife and extended family. He was kind, loving and with a warm smile enjoyed welcoming family and friends into his home.

Visitation will take place at the Collins Clarke funeral home (5610 Sherbrooke St W, Montreal QC H4A1W5, parking behind the funeral home on Marcil) on Sunday, August 27, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral mass will take place on Monday, August 28th, at 11 a.m. at St-Ignatius of Loyola (4455 Rue West Broadway, Montréal, QC H4B2A7) followed by an entombment at the Notre Dame des Neiges cemetery (4601 Chemin Cote des Neiges, Montreal QC H3V 1E7).
