Katherine (Kathie) Raven, born May 18, 1955, died July 18, 2025, lived in Montreal all her life. Katherine was a friend to many, loved cats, butterflies and flowers, spending time at the cottage on Ile Cadieux, paper cutting, being creative with drawings and collages, loved The New Yorker cartoons, did not love caterpillars, loved pottery, and cats. Public art and murals, Calvin and Hobbes, David Suzuki, Dr. Spock, The Beatles, book illustrations, magazines, cafés and café au lait, chocolate, Christmas, and cats, were also among her favourites.
Katherine worked as a daycare educator for 29 years and positively influenced the lives of many children and families. Kathie especially treasured her friendships with her daycare colleagues.
Most of all, she loved and adored her daughter, Frances Laure.
