1932 – 2026
Kathleen (Kay/Cooks) Norris passed away peacefully at the age of 93. She was the daughter of the late Bernard and Alicia (Fitzpatrick) Norris of St. John’s, NL, and was predeceased by her sisters Mary Norris Shiland Gallagher (2013) of New York and Alicia Norris Eaton (2022) of St. John’s, NL.
She is lovingly remembered by her nephews Norris Eaton, James Eaton, and Andrew Shiland, as well as her nieces Margo Eaton, Kathleen Eaton Paterson, Alicia Eaton Dean, Alicia Shiland Rounds, Harriette Shiland McDonough, and Elizabeth Shiland Shoemaker, along with her grandnieces and grandnephews, and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
A chapel service will be held at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White, 5610 Sherbrooke Street West, Montreal, QC, on Friday, January 30th 2026 at 2 PM. Interment will take place at Belvedere Cemetery, St. John’s, NL, at a later date.
Her family is very grateful to the wonderful and caring staff at Henri Bradet Residential Centre (Montreal), who supported Aunt Kay (Auntie Cooks) during her final years.
