It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Libera Palladino (Carnevale) on April 11, 2021. After celebrating her one hundredth birthday last month, Libera passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by her husband and children. Throughout her life, Libera encountered both opportunities and challenges, meeting each one with acceptance and resilience. As our family’s matriarch, she imparted to us her strength, courage and a deep love for family, which we will lean on during this difficult time. She leaves behind her beloved husband of almost eighty years, Vincenzo, her three children, Filomena (Nicola), Antonietta (Richard) and Terenzio (Loredana), as well as eight grandchildren, Laura (Marco), Claudia (Sergio), Sergio (Teresa), Sara, Giustino (Melissa), Marco, Giuliana, Davide, six great-grandchildren and her extended family in Canada and Italy.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the family will hold a private funeral on Wednesday
April 21, 2021. Friends can attend virtually with a live broadcast by invitation only.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jewish General Hospital
(https://my.crowdchange.co/d71p50). We would also like to thank the doctors and staff of the JGH for providing care and support over many years.
