It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Lily Banerjee, on June 4, 2017, at the age of 78. Beloved wife of 59 years of Subol Kumar Banerjee, cherished mother of Chandan (Paddy Leahy) and Oneal (Mona Kumar), and loving grandmother to Priyanka and Arya. She will also be deeply missed by many relatives and friends, no more than by her brother, Amalendu Bhattacharya (Shanta), and sister, Chanda Banerjee (Shyamal). The family will receive condolences on Friday June 9, 2017 from 1 pm to 4 pm, at Centre Funeraire Cote-Des-Neiges. The family would like to extend its gratitude to the doctors and staff at the McGill University Health Centre, Charles Lemoyne Hospital, and CHSLD Saint-Lambert sur-le-Golf for their compassionate support and care. In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
