Maria Campanelli

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Maria Campanelli-Schiavi announces her passing on May 9, 2023, at the age of 95 after a lengthy battle with dementia.

She was the devoted and loving wife of the late Antonio Schiavi, proud mother of Nina (Giuseppe), and Alberto (Anna), and cherished grandmother of Marina (John), Antonietta (Jack), Tina (Mario), Melissa (Marco), Maria-Antonietta (Roberto), Alessandro, Adele and loving great-grandmother to Jonathan, Matthew, Luigi, Alessia, Melania, Noemi, Damiano, Sebastiano, Alice, and Marta.

She was admired by all those who knew her and was loved for her generous and caring nature. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregiver and friend, Irma, and to the nurses and personnel at the CHSLD Vigi Reine-Élizabeth Residence for their care and support.

Private services will be held.

A memorial donation in her name can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
