Mario Massaro

Son of the late Vincenzo Massaro and Lucia Pasquale, and beloved husband of the late Alice Borys, he leaves behind his loving daughter Dana (late Ken Verdoni), his brother Tony (late Monique Marquis) sister Anna (late Angelo Buffa) and his sisters-in- law; Pierrette Massaro (late Louis Massaro), Micheline Massaro (late Albert Massaro) and Norma Kozub (late Daniel Kozub). He will sadly be missed by his nieces and nephews and the many friends he had made over the years.

Although he succumbed to prostate cancer and dementia in his later years. he still kept that happy infectious smile throughout his illness. Many heartfelt thanks to the entire care team at Sunrise Senior Living in DDO , his home for over 9 years. Mario has now moved on to join those he loved. In his memory, we would kindly appreciate a donation to the MUHC Foundation, in lieu of flowers. Donations received will be attributed to the Ken Verdoni Cancer Research Fellowship. Due to Covid restrictions, there will be a private viewing and funeral service for the immediate family on Monday December 13, 2021 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Centre Funeraire Cote-des-Neiges located at 4525 chemin de la Cote-des-Neiges H3V 1E7. The funeral service will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm and available virtually on the funeral home's website for those unable to attend.
