Michael Bambek

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Bambek on December 19th, 2024.

Michael was the devoted husband of Ella Bambek for 59 wonderful years. He was a loving father and father-in-law to David (Debby Bambek), and Audrey (Domenico Iasenza). Cherished Opa to Spencer, Lauren, Matteo, Adam, and Ava. He is survived by his sister, Cathy.

Michael was a dedicated and passionate educator for over 30 years, first as a teacher, then onto Vice-Principal followed by Principal. After retiring from the English Montreal School Board he continued to pursue his passion at McGill University.

Michael will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, December 22nd, from 1 to 5 pm at Côte-des-Neiges Funeral Center, 4525 chemin de la CÔte-des-Neiges, Montreal, Qc, H3V 1E7, followed by a chapel service at 5 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
