Peggy Dagenais (Née Normington) died peacefully on October 31, 2016 in her 101st year at the CHSLD Vigi Reine Elizabeth in Montréal.
Born on February 3rd,1915 in British Columbia, Peggy grew up in Wales and was very proud of her Welsh heritage. As a young woman, she returned to Canada, settling in Montéal to work, marry and raise a family.
Predeceased by her husband Charles in 1987, Peggy was dearly loved by her children, Claire (Gaétan), Bill (Denise) and Charlie (Sylvie). She was a loving grandmother and will be sadly missed by, Carol (Peter), Nicole (Robert), Mike (Karen), François, Kim (Brian) and Cara (Josh). Great-grandmother to Jonathan (Lucie), Tanya, Katie, Stephen, Amber, Noa and Sidney. Great-great-grandmother to Gabryelle, Raphaël, Jade, Megan and Tracy. Peggy will also be missed by her nieces and nephews.
Peggy will be remembered for her love of life and unconditional love for her family. Equally dear to her heart was her love for animals especially the dogs she had as pets over the years. Her generosity and kind-heartedness were her trademarks. For as long as she could, Peggy enjoyed many hobbies such as knitting, reading Harlequin novels, baking and singing! She will forever reside in the hearts and memories of those who held her dear.
