Very sad news. I have many fond memories of Donnie - hitch hiking to Cape Cod, playing ball hockey on Trenholme street, hanging in the BV after Viking games. An original Viking, they don't come any better than Peter. Will miss you !!!

Heartbreaking to hear of Peter's passing! I worked with him at the Royal Victoria Hospital for many years. He was the quiet guy but always willing to share his knowledge and lend a helping hand. The kindest gentlemen a person could ever meet.
Sincere condolences to the family!
Rest in peace Pete!

Very sad to learn of Donnie’s passing. I was hoping and looking forward to seeing him this year at the annual Viking get together. Donnie was quiet, thoughtful and loyal to his friends. We shared many conversations and laughs over many pints through the years. He was a character with a quick sense of humour. My condolences to his family. RIP Donnie.

I will always remember when I worked with Peter at the RVH. He was very quiet, but always pleasant and willing to lend a helping hand.
We used to always talk about the concerts he used to attend.
Last convo we had, was about going out with the guys this summer..
Hope you're happy wherever you are now Pete.

I remember when we were working at the Royal Victoria Hospital, I was told my position was being transferred to an other hospital. I was very upset and ended up crying in the lab. Some co-workers consoled and reassured me. The next day, Peter came up to me and gave me box of peanut butter brittle. He told me it was his favorite and thought I could use some cheering up so he was giving it to me. It was one of nicest gestures that someone has done for me at work. That's the memory I will always keep of Peter. He was a quiet man but he cared for others. May he rest in peace and my condolences to his family

An original Viking who used to hurt us in the chest every time he would fire the football at us - so sorry to learn and deepest sympathies to Donnie's family
