Ma belle Maman d'amour,

Merci pour tout.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for having being an amazing Maman to me and a wonderful Grand Maman for Charles, Victor and Xavier. Thank you for accepting Jacques in our family.
Here's to you and your outstanding gentle spirit. Your elegance , beauty and creative talents were enumerable. From hat maker to couturiere to home decorating. You taught me the love of clothing and costumes. Your receptions were prepared with love and delicious attention. You translated English to French and French to English perfectly. Your knowledge and in particular your memory for fine details would astound me. You travelled and moved numerous times to follow, as a team, to encourage Papa ( for 65 years) with 4 children in tow not always an easy task but done with grace and great planning. Fiercely decisive in a quite but not a shy way you listened to others with interest and humility. Your advice and wisdom was deeply appreciated and priceless. You encouraged my love of art and when you found art that I had thrown away you put it aside and built a secret port folio for me that was only revealed years late. How adorable !
The love, generosity and devotion you shared with Papa showed me to be trustworthy and loving.
You always thought of others first and even worried a tad to much. Because you cared so much. You remained a fantastic daughter by remaining forever available to and helpful for your parents and parents in law.
Your sense of humor would surprise and send us in roaring laughter ....especially " les petit farce cochonne"
Maman I miss your smile, your gentle caring voice. I miss your laughter. I miss your sweet soft cheeks to kiss and you hand to hold.
I miss your guidance and wisdom.
I miss you profoundly and beyond words.
My heart is broken and my tears over flow. I miss your Chanel #5 and the oder of garlic on your hands.
Keep safe in Heaven and please hug Papa for us.

I love you more.
Ta fille Carole

Dear Nathalie and Costa,

I have so many wonderful memories of my time spent with your family. Especially all the weekends I spent at your house as a teenager and young adult at your homes in Thornhill and Montreal. Your mother was always so welcoming and kind. She loved to sit and chat with us and loved to laugh. As teenagers, our many social plans sometimes made her nervous but she was willing to drive us and always waited up to make sure we were home safe. I know she is so proud of the kind and compassionate woman you have become. When I visited with her this past summer I could tell how happy she was living in your home. She told how welcoming and kind you both were. This of course makes it all so much more difficult for you. Take comfort in the knowledge that she is now at peace in heaven with your father and looking over you.

Adieu ! Love toujours

While I am comforted by knowing that you are once again with Andre, I will miss you. You welcomed me into your life with grace. I have such fond memories of your home in TMR and many laughs around the kitchen table. The last time we spent time together you gave me wonderful advice which I will always cherish.
