Rita Nazarene

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our loving Mother, Rita Nazarene (nee Mendonza) in Montreal, on January 13th, 2021, beloved wife of 59 years of the late Richard Nazarene. Dear daughter of the late Beatrice and Joseph Mendonza. Youngest sister of the late Bertha (Tim), Gerson (Anne), Violet (George) and Francis (Philomena)Mendonza.

Loving mother to Sevy, Daryll (Jackie), Ashton and treasured grandmother of Mathieu, Jordan (Jen), Steven (Fernanda), Eric and Richard. Leaving behind caring sisters-in-law, Lily, Philomena, Carmelita and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and friends.

Our Mom was a caring and generous person who loved to open her home and share a meal with family and friends. Her generous heart was as big as the wide-open sky. She loved to laugh and enjoyed spending time in the company of her friends and family. She appreciated the love and support of all her nieces and nephews who reached out to her from near and as far away as India and Australia.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors of the Jewish General Hospital for their care and support.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. John Fisher Parish, Pointe-Claire, QC. on February 13th at 10 AM, followed by the interment at the Cote-des-Neiges Cemetery.
