It has taken me this long to say anything, but I’d like to thank everyone who has had a meaningful influence in Sean’s life. There are so many… from school,cadets,RMC,Canadian Forces, Veterans, coworkers,his family, cousins, close friends and of course, Anna and Cookie.
Sean, I miss our lengthy chats we had so regularly. I will miss your warm heart. I will miss hugging you and I will miss that beautiful smile.You will live in my heart forever. Until we meet again my beautiful boy… Love Mom ❤️

A month ago, Sean was taken from us at such a young age. We are heartbroken and in disbelief. I am a colleague of Sean's at CBC/Radio-Canada. My condolences to his family and friends. As I am in Toronto, Sean and I were meeting monthly online since he started his latest job.  I'd look forward to these meetings as we always had so much to share in relation to our work. Sean struck me as an incredibly pleasant and warm person and I was completely shocked and saddened to hear that he'd left us.  His passing is an enormous loss on many levels. I wish him peace in his final rest.

I am saddened to learn of Sean's passing. We were very close for the few years that we were teammates on the ice in Burlington, and I have many memories biking over to his house in the summers many years ago. My deepest condolences to Sean's family and many friends. May he rest in peace.

I just heard this incredibly sad news and am heartbroken to lose such an amazing person and friend. Sean was one of my closest friends in high school and I'll always remember his ratty old Honda Civic he was so proud of during those days. He was such an honest and empathetic soul and I cherish the time I got to spend with him. Rest in piece my friend :(

My family and I are extremely sorry for your loss.  I knew Sean originally through RCAC and eventually in Notre Dame high school.  I always enjoyed working with and spending time with Sean in my teens.  Although I'd not seen him in many years, we were connected on LinkedIn and I always appreciated following him on there. I went to RMC with Sean, we weren't close but in spending these years at the college, I had the chance to cross paths regularly with him. I remember him as funny, intelligent, and such a positive energy about him. For all who were close to him, my deepest condolences for your loss.

I almost don't know where to start, this was really hard to write.  Sean was my best friend.  I met Sean in the summer of 1999 in first year at RMC in the showers, yes the showers, when we were given some insanely short amount of time to get it done.  All of us guys were awkwardly crowded into three shower stalls and this guy kept yelling hilarious one-liners that cracked us all up.  I immediately thought, who is this clown?  That guy was Sean.  However, we soon became inseparable.  We've spent summers together, weekends together, nights out together, holidays together, countless hours on the phone and visited family together.  I've seen Sean at his best and his worst.  There's so many things I wish I could say to you and I'm completely gutted that I'll never have the chance.  Sean had so much talent and so much to offer the world, it's such a shame that will never happen.  I'll never ever forget you Sean.  As I said to you Sean when I saw you in the private viewing last week when I was honoured to be able to say goodbye, I'll catch you and the flip side.

Though our lives hadn't crossed paths in some time, you occupy a perennial space in my mind. This trove of precious memories is filled with your passionate aphorisms on proper sheet exchange etiquette, advice on affectionate care and husbandry from one ailurophile to another, and our mutual love of all things Eisner. I can still hear your voice clearly, and I quote you regularly to this day.

Sean, you are and always will be an integral part of the RMC and Kaeble Flight memories for so many of us!  For all of us who showed up to basic training with no military experience you were there to take the lead, to make sure we marched and worked as a team and to keep the morale up!  Your ability to see the humour (light or dark!) in any situation was something that got us through a lot of adversity over the following four years.  Thank you for making life more vibrant for us all.  My Frontenac T-shirt (yes, I still have it!) will hang a bit heavier on the shoulders.

I met Sean through Air Cadets when I was 12 years old. That friendship bridged a huge time of transition in our lives. We enlisted in the CF at the same time, rode the bus to Basic Training, and oriented ourselves to St. Jean together. It comforted me to have a childhood friend by my side at this time. Sean and I completed our Business Degrees at RMC as classmates and pals. I only passed my CF French test on the first shot because Sean spent an entire English lecture teaching me (through whispers and scribbles), all the vocabulary needed to explain our daily lives at RMC. Sean’s sense of humour was a gift to all who knew him. I can’t type this without being flooded with memories…impressions of professors, quick-witted wisecracks, a domestic animal sound (IYKYK) across a lecture hall or parade square, secret nicknames, an impassioned monologue on the time-of-day appropriateness of the express vs. collector lanes, or how he would distinctively sing out, “that’s aawwful!” when warranted by someone’s speech or conduct. Sometimes I still mentally mimic that phrase. I can picture Sean’s sparkly eyes welling up with tears from laughing so hard. And for all the fun and games, Sean was as bright and capable as they come. He was very smart, and gave level-headed counsel. He was also thoughtful. He’d always ask how my family was doing. He gave Kev and I the most beautiful memory box as a wedding gift (still on display in our home). I will never forget the snail mail card Sean sent when my third daughter died in childbirth. Many friends sent text messages, but Sean mailed a beautiful card and handwritten note, promising to keep our family in his prayers. Somehow, that gesture was so meaningful at an incredibly hard time in my life. The card he sent reads: “May God’s love surround you and keep you through this time of sorrow.” Now, this is my heartbreaking prayer for all those Sean leaves behind. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I am praying. I will never forget Sean.

Hey buddy,
You and I connected immediately at Basic Training due to common friends from cadets. When we finally were given our weekend passes (after a false start with WO Rollin ripping them up Friday afternoons) I really enjoyed our time with your Hungarian aunt and uncle in Montreal! You were always the one to take the 10,000 foot view and not get bent out of shape over things! You always had a lighthearted way of navigating the world; yet, took laser focus at serious matters and we could confide in each other as first year roommates at RMC. I wish we hadn’t got so busy after graduation and I kept in better touch through the years but I know we would have picked up where we left off if reunited! You will always be remembered and missed by your second family members of Kaebel Flight!

I was really shocked to hear the sad news of Sean’s passing. I met Sean when we both joined  Air Cadets back in 1992. Sean was an exceptional cadet and a great leader.  Sean and I also went to the same high school, I have so many fond memories of Sean throughout those years.  There was never a dull moment when Sean was around. He was a true professional at everything he did, had a fantastic sense of humour and was a great friend.  Everyone that met Sean, loved him.  To Sean’s family, my sincerest condolences on the loss of Sean, my thoughts are with you.

I have such fond memories of Sean at RMC, and after. He was always quick with a witty comment and made me laugh more times than I can count. He was also a very supportive friend -- always the first to congratulate me on professional successes, and encourage me to try harder and reach higher. I will really miss him.

re-doing the obstacle course in our 4th year. We were so excited to be close to graduating!

Sean was a vibrant part of my memories from the Royal Military College.  Having a group of us thrown together as teenagers for basic training in the summer after high school and then (pretty much) the same group forming our recruit flight at RMC meant we really got to see everyone at their best of times as well as in the most stressful situations. 
Sean had such confidence right from the start, even in the first few confusing days of basic training, and he was always there to put a bright spin on things when times were tough. We could always count on him for a funny wise crack or imitation which kept us going but he was also there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. 
Our 4 years at RMC continued in this way. Sean must have felt it his mission to keep morale high even when things seemed tough (if you heard 'myeh!' in the hallways anywhere you could bet it was likely Sean) but he was also interested in how people were doing and would reach out to chat when he felt I ever needed a shoulder to lean on.  
Looking through old photos this past week, so many great memories came up and I can hear Sean's voice so clearly in my mind whether it was his very distinct drill voice or any of his other quotations that are so closely tied to some of these memories. 
I'm reflecting on the fact that the bonds that are formed at RMC are ones that I've never experienced prior, nor since, and Sean played a big part in this period of my life and I know he did the same for so many.  
While we kept in touch off and on since graduation and tried to link up when in the same area, our paths only crossed a few times in person since that time. Sending sincere condolences to Sean's family and all those who mourn his loss.

An incredible loss of an incredibly caring sole - to anyone who was blessed enough to have known Sean - his intellect and sincere belief in those who would/could dig deeper, go further, push harder and challenge the status quo to realize the true potential within. Deeply saddened on the loss of Sean.  Sean was a good friend of my son Brian from RMC.  
I remember one Christmas season Sean and another friend Blair came to our home here in Sarnia, ON.  for a visit.  Sean was such a delight and so gracious in our home and polite and I remember his beautiful smile.

Sean meant many things to many different people. My time with him was limited to four years at the Royal Military College of Canada. Although my time with him was relatively short, he made an oversized impression on me during those formative years. I was only a teenager when I joined the military. I was homesick and anxious at the start. Thats where I first met Sean. There was something familial about him. When I was deeply missing my family he became my new brother. He could easily relate, was helpful and easily made lite of any abuses we suffered at the hands of our military instructors. Most of all, I will forever memorialize his quick wit and humour! His jokes and funny anecdotes helped me throughout my college years. They helped me endure and successfully struggle the ups and downs of university and military life. When he was around my spirits lifted. To this day, I can still hear that familiar voice of him calling out the cadence as Kaeble flight marched forward. Sean, as you you march into the great unknown may that same spirit, that you imparted into me and others, now accompany you and comfort your loved ones left behind.

Sean was part of my military beginnings and a roommate at RMC.   He knew how to ensure we were always ready for inspection. I am sorry he is no longer with us - I will remember him fondly.
