Dearest Gung Gung, Ngai Family, and everyone who ever met Gung Gung,

It was definitely a sad day when Gung Gung passed on, however let us remember the life Gung Gung led, the lives he touched and for all of the times he has been with us.

Through Gung Gung we learn to appreciate life and to cherish the time we have with each other now, it doesn't matter what happened before or what hasn't happened; live in the moment a moment at a time.

Seeing my beloved Gung Gung's face, it breaks my heart to know that the last time I saw him, I'd be kissing him on the forehead and looking into his sweet sweet eyes while saying, "I love you Gung Gung so much!" for the very last time in the physical. 

With a heart of gold, and an amazing love for family, he was an inspiration to everyone's lives he touched. 

Even though, I lived away from him for most of my life, he never made me feel the distance and always was there for me no matter what. 

I love him so much and miss him dearly. 

My deepest condolences to my entire family.
Gung Gung's legacy lives on in all of his children, grand children, great grand children; all of us. 

We have each other, we will pick up the broken pieces all together, and see this through.

My Uncle, the great patriarch has left a wonderful empire of children , grandchildren and great grand children.  Not many can brag of this huge accomplishment. All prospering and  contributing fine Canadian citizens.  My fondest memories are  of my visits during my  youth to  Montreal and  my eating a wonderful  meal prepared by  uncle in his  restaurant, the  peaceful green spaces about Mt Royal, and the honor afforded to me when  Uncle attended my wedding which seems like eons ago.
Dear Uncle, rest in peace knowing that all will continue in your guidance and wisdom throughout our lives.

My prayers are with you during this time.

To me, he was my one of my greatest cheerleaders always empowering me that I could succeed, and after my father passed away Grandpa spoke to me long distance (I was in bangkok that time) for over an hour talking to me about life and what to do with my family and how to pick up the pieces of my life.  

I was crying over the phone because we had HUGE chinese furniture pieces that my dad loved so much and I could not take it back to our small apartment in Hong Kong. Grandpa told me to not focus on it and I can buy better bigger furniture next time, and that it's too big to carry with me so let it go. 

Such simple practical words touched my heart. Practical in the sense of - hey dude, the furniture is huge and your place is small, how can you fit?? haha (love grandpa!)

and profound in the sense of - Stacy, heavy things you let go off, don't carry heavy things with you, let things go.

And this is from one conversation on the phone, communicating in with a blend of English, Cantonese and Toysan(Taisan) dialect. We understood each other because we were speaking heart to heart. And that was the way my grandpa spoke and connected with people.

If my dear sweet grandpa had touched your life in anyway, please share with us, we love to hear his stories and also share his stories with others, in this way his legacy continues on.
