Stellina Maria Ienco

She was born November 4, 1927 in Nardodipace, Calabria where she was known as Stellina davanti la Chiesa. She married her husband Ilario after the war, and left her beloved Italy with her child, Giuseppe, to immigrate to Canada in 1957.

Stellina led a life of constant prayer, especially with devotion to the Rosary, and care for others. The source of her joy was in her Catholic faith and family. She is preceded by her devoted husband Ilario, her brother-in-law Rocco and sister-in-law Rosa.

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Giuseppe (Loraine), her cherished grandchildren Ilario (Josie) and Giancarlo, and her adoring great-grandson Dante. She will also be remembered by her sister Concettina (Cosimo), sister-in-law Stelllina and her many nieces and nephews across the globe, Angelo (Pina), Giuseppe, Anna-Maria, Maria (Antonio).

The funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Monica’s church; 6405, rue de Terrebonne, Montreal, Quebec H4B 1A8. Thence, to the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery for her final resting place in the La Pietà mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers and gifts we ask that mass intentions be offered at St. Monica’s parish for the holy repose of her soul.
