Stig-Eric Gruman

1962 - 2013

It is with profound sadness that we announce

the sudden passing of Stig-Eric Gruman on

November 23, 2013 at the age of 51. Loving

husband of Genny Lapolla, adoring father of

Sten-Erik and Niklas, only child of Peggy and

Victor Gruman, son-in law to Maria and

Michele, brother in law to Tina Lapolla and

Peter McKinney and uncle to Nadia and

James McKinney. He also leaves to grieve

aunts, uncles, cousins and their families in

North-America, Sweden and Italy. He will be

sadly missed by all his family, friends and

colleagues who had the privilege of knowing

him and whose lives he touched. Stig was

born in Montreal and grew up in Rosemere. He

graduated from McGill with a Bachelor of

Commerce, became a chartered professional

accountant and articled with Ernst & Young

where he met his wife Genny. Stig had a very

successful business career culminating at

Autodesk holding many executive positions in

Finance, Product Management and most

recently Vice President of Media and

Entertainment Sales. He served as a role

model for many in business, family and

friends. Stig’s passion was his family with

whom he lived his life to the fullest. His

beloved wife Genny and his two sons were his

pride and joy. Stig was known first and

foremost for his compassion, kindness,

selflessness and leadership. His charismatic

personality and famous laughter filled any

room with his presence.

The family will receive condolences at

Centre funeraire Cote-des-Neiges, on

Wednesday November 27, from 7 to 9 pm

and on Thursday November 28, from 10 to 11 am.

Memorial services will be celebrated in his memory,

Thursday November 28, at 11 am in the chapel

of the complex.
