William Edward Yvorchuk

June 9, 1932 - July 17, 2016

It is with deep sadness that we announce that

William (Bill) Yvorchuk passed away

peacefully on July 17, 2016 with family at his

side. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 61

years, Elizabeth (Liz), and his cherished

children Bill (Jo-Anna), Kathy (Guy) and Ken

(Pauline). Grandpa will be dearly missed by

his grandchildren Matt, Sami, Amy, Eric and

Daniel. Bill was predeceased by his siblings

Albert, Elise, Gene, Phyllis, Joe, Alec and

Frances, and is survived by his sister Pauline

(Jean) and nieces and nephews in both

Montreal and BC. Condolences of sympathy

will be received at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July

30, 2016 at La Chapelle de La Re´surrection in

the Coˆte-Des-Neiges Cemetery followed by a

service at 11 a.m. There will be a reception

after the service at the

A private inurnment will follow on August 1,

2016 at 11 a.m. Special thanks to Drs. Evan

Blauer and Mark Smilovitch, and Bill's

attending physicians and staff at the Jewish

General Hospital Oncology and Cardiology

units. In lieu of flowers, donations to the

Jewish General Hospital Foundation for the

Segal Cancer Centre or the Cardiac Care Unit

would be greatly appreciated.
