Alastair (Sandy) James Macintyre of Montrose, NY passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the age of 84. Alastair was born to Scottish parents Alexander Martin Macintyre and Margaret (MacKeller) Macintyre on July 12, 1933 in Buffalo, NY. The family move to Toronto, Ontario where Sandy and his late sister, Kirsteen grew up. He was married to his beloved wife, Helena (Peltola) Macintyre for almost 35 years. Although retired, Sandy had loved his work as a sales executive for CBS Television. He was an animal lover, an automobile enthusiast, and a sports fan who often found himself rooting for the underdog. Sandy was a great story teller and friendly jokester. He also loved his daily crossword puzzles and staying current by reading three newspapers cover to cover.
Alastair is survived by his wife Helena Macintyre and their loving son Alexander. He is deeply missed, and lovingly remembered.
