Catherine Sowka, nee Fazzino passed away on Wednesday morning, June 28, 2023. She was 79 years old. She resided at 406 Smith St, Peekskill NY with her loving son Donald Mittan. Catherine was born in Brooklyn, NY June 21, 1944. She had four children, Mary Fazzino, Joseph Nerone, Angela Nerone and Donald Mittan, 5 grandchildren and 4 nieces and nephews. Catherine will also be missed by her siblings Roseanne Anthis, Betty Borenzo, James Fazzino and many friends that she made laugh with her tireless and sharp humor.
Catherine worked for the Bell telephone company followed by a long career in the restaurant industry. With her snappy style of service she had a loyal customer base that she served for many years.
