Bonnie was born on May 20, 1925 to John and Cecilia (Werner) O’Brien in New York, NY. Bonnie was an active member of the Nor-Cort Seniors Club, Cortlandt Seniors Club, Verplanck Seniors Club and the Springvale Senior Citizen Club. She was also an active volunteer at the Montrose VA for over 20 years.
Bonnie is survived by her beloved sons John C. Zygmunt (Christine) of Yorktown Heights and Chester Zygmunt of Seattle, WA, cherished granddaughters Laura Storminger (David), Janice Zygmunt and Tyra Zygmunt, and two adored great granddaughters Leah and Kylie Storminger. Bonnie was predeceased by her husband Chester Zygmunt in 1986.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kings Ferry Rd., Montrose, NY 10548. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Monday, March 16, 2015 at St. Christopher’s Church, Buchanan, NY. Committal Private.
