Donna L. Edwards

Donna L. Edwards, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, in Cortlandt Manor, NY. She was 92 years old. Born on June 19, 1933, in Peekskill, NY, Donna was the daughter of the late Harold and Alliene (Cunningham) Pullen.

Donna dedicated her career to education, retiring as a beloved 5th grade teacher in the Lakeland Central School District. Her love for her community was evident throughout her life. A devout member of the Church of the Divine Love in Montrose, and she volunteered for many years at The Carriage House Thrift Shoppe, also in Montrose. She served on the Village of Buchanan Planning Board, was a past treasurer of the Buchanan Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and was an active member of the Verplanck, Buchanan, and Town of Cortlandt Seniors. In recognition of her contributions, she was honored with a special Senior Citizen award by Town of Cortlandt Supervisor, Linda Puglisi and was recently inducted into the Westchester County Senior Citizen Hall of Fame. Donna also proudly participated in the Red Hat Society and the NYP Hudson Valley Auxiliary where she served on their Scholarship Committee for several years.

Donna is survived by her daughters Diane Stinson (Mike) and Nicole Laureti (Andy), as well as by her daughter-in-law Michele Stinson, wife of her late son Michael Stinson. She was predeceased by her daughter Barbara Stinson and son Michael Stinson. She leaves behind her loving grandchildren: Billy Conklin (Lauren), Emily Stinson, Evan Leone, Michael Stinson, Sarah Stinson, Vinny Laureti, and Cassie Laureti. She was predeceased by her grandchildren Robert Hosey Jr. and Erica Conklin. Donna was also blessed with one great-grandchild, Laura Conklin.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 4:00–7:00 PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kings Ferry Rd., Montrose, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 2:30 PM at The Church of the Divine Love, Sunset Rd., Montrose, NY. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Montrose, NY.

Donna will be remembered for her deep faith, her tireless devotion to her family and community, and the warmth and kindness she shared with all who knew her.
