Douglas Louis Sean Sperber

Douglas Louis Sean Sperber, a resident of Montrose, NY, passed away on September 2, 2026. He was 64 years old. Doug was born on October 31, 1961 in Bronx, NY to Sidney and Patricia Darlene (Maxwell) Sperber. He worked for many years as a sheet metal fabricator and installer for HVAC systems.

Doug was known for his boisterous sense of humor and mischief, his strong work ethic, and an uncanny ability to solve math equations in his head. He had an incredible handshake, a wonderful laugh, and was exceptionally generous—the kind of person to give you the shirt off his back. He was a proud, dedicated business owner until his death.

He is survived by his daughters, Brianne Sperber (Los Angeles, CA) and Brittany Sperber (Worcester, VT), his elder sister Deborah Paulmann Perla (Boyton Beach, FL), and his younger brother, Daniel Sperber (Yonkers, NY).

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Saturday, September 12th at 10:30am at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, 381 N Highland Ave, Ossining, NY 10562.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his honor to St. Christopher’s Inn at Graymoor.
