Edward A. Lonergan, born on December 1, 1948 to the late Edward A. and Ethel (Clapper) Lonergan in Peekskill, NY, passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 76. Edward graduated from Hendrick Hudson High School and was a proud United States Army Veteran serving from 1969 to 1971.
Edward is survived by his brother George Lonergan (Colleen) and by sisters Marlene Russo (Donato Russo) and Kathy Lonergan, his sister-in-law Fran, as well as by several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Edward was predeceased by his brothers Charles and John Lonergan, his sister Maureen Kuney, his parents Ethel and Edward Lonergan as well as by his beloved dog, Gucci.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 4-8 PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, located at 170 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose, New York.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at St Patrick's Church, Verplanck, New York with burial to follow at St Patrick's Cemetery also in Verplanck, New York.
