“3800 on hand for the bristling Hendrick Hudson exhibition. “Thrilling Demonstration” the Crowd thrilled at the dazzling display of pass work, ball hawking and the give and go tactics of the Hen Huds with Ed Snyder serving as the Spark plug.  Coach Verdeschi admitted although playing straight up man to man defense, Snyder (a brilliant all around performer) has freedom of the Court and always seems to be in the right spot at the right time (cutting off a passing lane, getting a rebound). Studded with gems of passing (like flipping over his shoulder to a cutter) and scoring hitherto unseen in school boy tourney play  hereabouts. Decision safely in hand, 3800 stood as one and roared their approval of a job well done as well as a number of disappointed, but delighted Peekskillers  !”

I’m so sorry. I know you did such a good job taking care of Eddie. I’m sure you made his last years much easier.  I’m glad you have your children to keep you company. You and Eddie will be in our thoughts and prayers. I write this with a heavy heart in that I will not be able to come to the services (due to Tommy s arthritic mobility issues)

Dear Ed,

Thank you for some of my fondest childhood memories.  Every summer all the kids from the neighborhood would be outside playing stickball, or building forts, or walking through the woods with Tonto and Rusty.  At the end of the day either you or my father would yell outside "who wants to go to carvel?"  We would all be so excited and jump in the bed of your red truck.  Sometimes there would be like ten of us back there.  You guys didn't care you loved all the kids in the neighborhood.  I know you loved that memory as much as I did because we would talk about it all the time.

I also loved when you called me on my birthday.  You never missed.  The call became more important to me after my father died because you and him always called me Cole or Coley.  

Thank you for always being so kind and generous. You will always hold a special place in my heart. I will miss you dearly.

Let the light of the stars and moon shine.

Let the soul of a dear friend rise
