

Evelyn Patricia “Pat” Dohan, of Buchanan, New York, passed away surrounded by her loving family and the caring staff at NYP Hudson Valley Hospital on November 2, 2025. Born on October 28, 1940, in the Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Gladys Loeber.
At the age of eight, Pat moved with her family to Buchanan, where she attended St. Patrick’s School in Verplanck and graduated from Hendrick Hudson High School in 1958. In 1959, she married the love of her life, Peter “Marvin” Dohan, and together they built a beautiful life and raised four children.
Pat devoted much of her life to caring for her family, which was always her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. After raising her children, she worked for 20 years as a bus driver for the Hendrick Hudson School District, retiring in 1997.
She cherished her time at the family’s vacation home in the Adirondacks, loved reading, and was a loyal fan of the New York Yankees and the Kansas City Chiefs. Her warmth, humor, and devotion to family touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Pat was predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter “Marvin” Dohan; her uncle, Jack Glennon; and her son-in-law, Robbie Laug. She is survived by her children Kelly (Roy) Hesselgrave, Patty (Brian) Curry, Peter Dohan, and Kim Laug (Charlie Kane); her sister-in-law Carolynne VanTassel; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild and several loving nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Pat’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. A memorial celebration of her life will be planned for a future date.
Pat’s legacy of love, family, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
