Jacqueline was born on June 7, 1932 to the late William F. and Eleanor (Christopher) Boger in Yonkers, NY.
Jackie attended St. Joseph’s grammar school and Yonkers High School. At 17, she attended Cochran School of Nursing at St. John’s Hospital in Yonkers. Later, Jackie achieved a Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration at Mercy College in Westchester. She began working at age 21 as an RN ; for many years she worked as an operating room nurse at St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers. She returned to Cochran School as a teacher of Nursing. She served in Administration at Bronx- Lebanon Hospital. She retired from Mount Kisco Medical Group, Outpatient Surgery, at the age of 78, in 2009.
Jackie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was the oldest sibling of 6; to them she was a second mother, as she was to all family members. She could always be counted on for encouragement and wise words of advice. She loved life, and to her family there was unconditional love. Her love extended to her pets; she rescued many dogs, and gave them a home of comfort and devotion. She enjoyed trips to the city, bringing her grandchildren to the ballet, theatre trips to Broadway Plays with friends and family, vacations all over the United States and Europe, and taking part in Restaurant Week. She was the organizer of Christmas and Holiday Parties at her house, where she would put out a feast that no one could top. She was an amazing cook and baker, second to none. She could duplicate a recipe after tasting it only once. Jackie never forgot a birthday; she always arrived with a cake in hand. She enjoyed golf, and always enjoyed the after golf lunch with friends. Jackie was an energetic, enthusiastic, intelligent, and accomplished career woman who was admired by many as an outstanding dresser. She had a kind word and smile for everyone; everyone had something good to say about her.
She is survived by her beloved children, Robert O’Hara, Kathleen A. LoGuidice, Maureen O’Hara (Rolf Wallischeck); caring brothers and sister, Lawrence (Beverly), William J. (Debbie), Thomas (Eleanor), James (Elizabeth) Boger and Patricia Stephenson (Mack). She is also survived by 9 adoring grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
