John was born on February 4, 1954, in the Bronx, to the late John F. and Margaret (Rooney) Scally. John was a loving husband, father, and Grandfather. He was retired from Metro North Railroad where he worked as a mechanical supervisor.
He is survived by his wife Bernadette, daughter Anne, son John Brian, daughter-in-law Snow, and grandchildren Gianna and Vivian. He is also survived by his brother Gerard Scally.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, November 19 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kingsferry Road, Montrose, NY. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, November 20 at 11am at St. Patrick’s Church, 240 11th Street, Verplanck, NY. Interment to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Verplanck, NY.
