Maria E. Ara of Bedford, NY passed away surrounded by family on November 7, 2021. Maria was born to Narciso and Mara Ara on July 23, 1952 in Cuba. Maria was an artist. She loved her dogs and in the mountains and nature.
Maria is survived by her loving partner Angelo Gencarelli, cherished sons Paul (Cindy) and Michael (Abby) and step-son Stephen Gencarelli, adored grandchildren Justin, Erica, Matthew, Marc, Maxine, Samantha, and Madison, caring brother Carlos Ara. Maria was predeceased by her longtime partner and friend Kevin Groves.
A Memorial Service for Maria, will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Maria’s honor to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
