Mary R. Pileggi

A loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Mary Pileggi, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2024, at the age of 106. Born on September 15th 1917, Mary was a pillar of grace, strength, and wisdom throughout her remarkable life.

Her life was a testament to the virtues of family and home. As a homemaker, she created a warm and loving environment for all friends and family, especially her daughter Jean Marie. Mary’s home was a haven of comfort and joy, where her cooking and family gatherings brought everyone together around her table.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Pileggi. Her legacy of love, cooking, and grace continues through her family, who will remember her as a guiding light and source of strength.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, August 8th from 4-8 pm at Edward F Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose, NY 10548. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Friday, August 9th at 10:30 am at St. Augustine Church, 381 N Highland Avenue, Ossining, NY 10562. Interment to follow at St. Augustine Cemetery, 71 Hawkes Avenue, Ossining, NY 10562.
