Ralph Uva

Ralph was a proud WWII Army Veteran who after being Honorably Discharged, worked as an accountant at West Point Military Academy retiring in 1973. He served on the Buchanan Planning Board and was an active member of the local senior citizen clubs enjoying many bus trips to Atlantic City.

Ralph is survived by his sons; John and his wife Denise of Glenwood, NJ and Michael of Pompano Beach, FL and 2 grandsons Mark and Nicholas. He is also survived by a sister Helen Tandy, a brother Emanuel Uva and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Mercedes in 2001 and 2 brothers, Alexander and Louis Uva.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 170 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Wednesday, November 17th at St. Patrick’s Church in Verplanck, NY. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Cortlandt Manor.
