OBITUARY

Walter T. Rizzi

Walter T. Rizzi, 77, a longtime resident of Ossining, died on Monday, November 2, 2020. He was born on July 4, 1943 to Walter and Jane Keegan Voetgle in the Bronx where he was raised and educated. Walter was most recently a maintenance man at the Osborn in Rye for several years prior to his retirement. Previously, he was a maintenance man for F. Ruggiero & Sons Funeral Home in Yonkers and Louis Hirsch & Sons Funeral Home in the Bronx. Before working as a maintenance man, he was a sanitation worker for the Department of Sanitation in New York City for twenty years. On July 19, 1964, he married his loving wife, Carol Ann Scarnati in Immaculate Conception Church in the Bronx. Mrs. Rizzi survives and lives in Ossining. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted son, Michael O. Rizzi and his wife Marjorie of Croton on Hudson and his two cherished grandchildren, Liana and Angelia Rizzi.

Visiting hours will be at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose, N.Y. on Friday November 6th from 10am to 12pm with a funeral service to follow at 12pm. Entombment will follow at the Rosewood Mausoleum at Ferncliff Cemetery.
